Aaron’s commitment to health and sport began during his undergraduate degree, particularly when he started personal training. Not satisfied with his ability to rehabilitate injuries, he entered the Physical Therapy program at UBC in 2014. Aaron’s practice has always been through an active performance lens that utilizes exercise prescription, manual therapy, and patient education/pain science. He has additional training in Acupuncture/Dry Needling (CAFCI), Concussion Management and Bike Fitting (Retul).
Aaron grew up playing all sports and cemented his love for mountain bikes at the age of 14. Aaron currently races in the pro/elite field and is part of a multi-sponsored team with Transition Bikes. When not on a bike, you can find him trailing running, ski touring, mountaineering or in the gym.
Aaron spent 3 seasons travelling on the UCI World Cup downhill and enduro cycling circuit as a team Physiotherapist. He has worked for and consulted with Giant, Ibis, Rocky Mountain, Canyon, Cycling Canada and Cycling BC. Aaron has other on-field sport experience working with the Canada’s Freestyle Ski team, Invictus Games and UBC Men’s Varsity Rugby team. Aaron continues to provide coaching and physical preparation programming to many professional and semi-professional cyclists and mountain athletes both locally and internationally.
